Today I sticker bombed the fairing. Pretty beast of me but whatever. I like it... for now.

SOLO RIDE

I was itching to get back in the saddle today. Due to class and hanging out at the shop, it was dark by the time I got home. A night ride by myself was just what I needed. For some reason I felt like this the whole 15 miles or so.



I did not feel like I was actually on my bike tonight. I dont think even once I thought about the ride itself. I usually listen to music while riding to help clear my mind, or give me that extra burst of energy. Tonight was another story. The sounds of My American Heart kept me over-analyzing everything going on in my life as of now. It seemed like I could relate to every song. Not the best choice of albums for the ride. Take two tomorrow. "I think I'll take the long way home. I'll sit up straight, sit up straight... Straighten up and get out."

JUST TWO

For me, it's a hard one. I need to be somewhat physically attracted to the girl. Looking right will only get your foot in the door with me though. Intelligence, or lack there of will decide whether or not the door opens more, or shuts right in your face. I also need to be able to hold a conversation with her. I read once that you will be happier if you cut the small talk, and talk about what's really important in life. I think that's why I like talking to you. Looks and intelligence are my two. What would you pick?

Not posting that's for sure. This week was nuts. Soo much going on, and the beautiful weather kept me off the computer for the most part. I'll try and fill you in with what I remember. Paint bike rack. Study. Class. St. Patty's Day. Green beer. Bike polo. Temple. Work at iMiNUSD. Work at Macy's. Sabor. New wheels day. Work at Macys. Froyo. Voodoo then Motif. Upstairs with you. One bite of my burrito. Falling asleep on the phone. Work at Macy's. Sharks lose again. Home. Relax. Blog.

WHAT A RACK

I finally ordered the part I needed to get the roof rack on the Avant. I was able to use the size large fairing I had by taking the dremel to it, cutting 3 or so inches off each side, then shaping it to look like it was never cut. I wanted to make sure the fairing would sit in front of the sunroof, especially since this is my first car with one and I find myself using it often. It fits with just 2 centimeters to spare. It's still not done, I'll be painting the silver pieces black to complete the look.

LIFE IS LOOKING UP

I woke up a few minutes early today in order to make sure I could eat a bowl of Raisin Brand Crunch. I heard that it is bad to start your day off without eating. Lucky for me, I enjoyed my cereal and continued on getting ready.

Starting at 10:30, I have three back to back classes. Business 190 was alright. I forgot my book, but the girl next to me was kind enough to share. During Business 140, Phillip was keeping me distracted while I was trying to study for a midterm. I was doing some work in the lab for Business 188, but my mind was thinking of nothing but food.

After 2:45 finally came, I met with Rhoda for some lunch. I hoped for Chinese food, but my favorite restaurant just happens to be closed from 3 to 5 everyday. I guess since Chinese food was out of the picture, why not pizza? I asked her is she had ever been to 4th Street, and to my amazement, she had not. Pizza it is! We walked the 6 or so blocks to the corner of 4th and Santa Clara. A small pizza, half BBQ chicken / half creamy garlic chicken, and two $1 pints was the perfect meal. I was stuffed after 3 slices.



After lunch we made our way down to the shop to study pretend to study/hangout. The rats and friends were outside tarcking, along with other usuals. Before I knew it, there was just 10 minutes before my night class.

I had a huge test at 6 for Business 130. I was nervous, and probably not well prepared, but I did much better than expected. After the test, JP and myself met up with the guys not playing polo (someone forgot a ball). It was freezing so we left early to watch the Gnarcotix video. That is right, it is finished and I saw it before you! Sean even shouted me out in the credits.....THANKS SEAN! I was really impressed with the video. It was filmed more in a skateboarding video style, not like the real artsy ones that have been dropping lately. Keep your eyes out for a premier in the San Jose area very soon.

Hump day is officially over, and it sure was a great one.

I received a friend request not too long ago from a person I didn't recognize. What am I suppose to do, just add them? Not....decline. Wait a second, this guy has The Passing Static as his website. THE ROAD NOT YET TRAVELED

The unexpected fork in the road.
Where do you go? Continue on the left, or verge over to the right to an unfamiliar path? Keep in mind this new path is not quite as predictable. What may be waiting for you ahead might be what you have always wanted needed. Then again, it may be what you have never expected. Who really knows? You may be perfectly fine with what you can see on the current path. Stay on the left, which is downward sloping, forcing you to the bottom. You turn around only to look up at the path you just traveled. Now where do you go from here?
Back at the fork, look over to the right. Simply because it is up hill does not necessarily mean it is more difficult. It is a path leading you to top. Climb upward until you can't go any further. Now take a look around. The air may be thin, but imagine the beautiful view. While there, you can take in a deep breath and truly realize everything looks better from above. In a situation like this, one must trust their gut.

I logged into Myspace for the first time in who knows how long. After talking about my old Trans Am today I wanted to watch the only video I have of me racing it.



I'm still in shock how many people still frequent Myspace. I pulled this picture from there before getting off with a quickness.



13.3 @ 123 MPH She didn't hook until 3rd gear. Some slicks would have easy 11s. Ohh how I miss you.

A WET HUMPDAY

I woke up early to study, earlier than I had planed, thanks to all the cats and dogs falling from the sky. Lucky for me the weather let up right when I got to school. The 8 or so block ride from JP's to campus was rather relaxing with light sprinkles and the sun shining. I had a test in Quantitative Business Analysis that was ehh, but other than that class was pretty cool.

After my 3 classes I headed over to the shop, then to La Vic's for a carnitas burrito. Upon entering I noticed the keep out sign was off the stairs to the second floor. Downstairs was a college student infested taqueria, but up stairs was somewhat nicely decorated, and empty, besides myself and my good company. After eating we made a mad dash back to the shop where it seemed as if there was a party. Everyone was hiding out from the rain.

NOW IT FEELS NEW

Kinda.

My new key shell came in today. For just $16 shipped from eBay, I couldn't pass up having a new key shell considering my current one was stuck open and had worn buttons. Flip keys are no fun if you can't open and close them 100 times a day.



Upon tearing apart my original key fob, I saw that I could swap blades rather than having to get the new one cut at the stealership. This would have worked out great if I had the proper tools. I ended up using the tip of a dart to push the hallow pin out to free the uncut blade. With a heavy hand I pounded out the pin not noticing I was stretching the same piece of metal that was broken on my original key. Lucky for me, JB Weld was invented, a little around the old key in the new fob and hopefully it will hold up.



The aftermarket shell doesn't feel as good as the OEM one. It has a cheaper plastic feel and is quite a bit lighter. For a savings of more than $150 if I would have gone to the dealership for a new key, I think it will work out just fine.

JUMPING IN

I'm not big on horoscopes, but after reading mine for today, I had to post it. I can relate to it already in just the first few hours of the day.

March 1st: You may be having a tough time setting boundaries now because you can see unrealized potential everywhere you look. Although your ability to think is one of your greatest strengths, it's more difficult than usual to separate what's practical from what's not.
